Why A Tree of Twisted Thorns?
I named my book A Tree of Twisted Thorns because it captures the fact that the main character, Morgan, comes from a family with a lot of dark secrets. Her family tree is definitely twisted, and what she finds out as the story enfolds would make a weaker woman lose it all. Morgan has to make some very difficult decisions that affect not only her but her children, and she finds herself navigating through a very uncertain world while trying to stay sane. The book definitely has its dark moments, and there are some creepy and disturbing scenes as well, and just when you think there are no more secrets, another twisted thorn appears. Like Cathy in Flowers in the Attic, Morgan will need all of her strength if she hopes to survive this family and its very twisted secrets!
